About Howard L. Breslau
Founder • Principal • Officiant
Prior to founding Sacred Traditions, Howard held senior leadership roles with several of Boston’s high-profile non-profit organizations including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, The Huntington Theatre Company, The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, The Rashi School, The Greater Boston Food Bank, as well as the U.S. Pro Tennis Championships at Longwood Cricket Club.

Howard is a proud graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst and of the Prozdor of Hebrew College. He is a past member of the Boards of Directors and Trustees of Temple Emanuel in Newton, MA, and a past member of the Board of Directors and current member of the Board of Advisors of Camp Yavneh in Northwood, NH. He is a longtime lay-leader and volunteer with numerous community organizations including the University of Massachusetts Amherst, WGBH (Channel 2), Needham Youth Hockey Association, and Needham Baseball.
Howard is a native of West Newton and lives in Needham, Massachusetts with his wife, Jane. They have two grown sons, Mitchell and Max, of whom he is incredibly proud.

Howard Breslau founded Sacred Traditions Funeral Concierge as a personal and professional calling — one shaped profoundly by his own family’s experience with loss. That journey deepened his understanding of how crucial steady, compassionate support is during times of grief and inspired him to guide others through this difficult chapter with sensitivity and grace.

A longtime member of the Greater Boston community, Howard brings decades of experience in event management and planning, organizational leadership, and community service. His work in the Greater Boston community – and with Brezniak Funeral Directors Boston’s only independent, family-owned Jewish funeral home – has given him invaluable insight into funeral practices and how to compassionately and effectively serve family needs.
